Unlock Your Pickleball Paddle's Potential: Introducing PowerPredictProAI!

Are you a pickleball enthusiast constantly searching for the perfect paddle? Do you wish you could predict how much power a paddle will deliver before you even pick it up? Good news! CoreTek Pickleball LLC has developed an innovative solution just for you: PowerPredictProAI.

What is PowerPredictProAI?

PowerPredictProAI is an AI-powered tool specifically designed to help players and manufacturers understand the power characteristics of pickleball paddles. Developed by CoreTek Pickleball LLC, this cutting-edge system aims to take the guesswork out of paddle selection by providing a data-driven power prediction.

How Does It Work? The Key Inputs

The brilliance of PowerPredictProAI lies in its ability to generate a power estimate based on several crucial physical specifications of a pickleball paddle. To get a prediction, you simply need to provide the following inputs: Swingweight, Twistweight, Weight (oz), Thickness (mm), and Balance (mm).

Once these details are entered, you simply click "Estimate Power". There is also a "Reset" button available,

The Prediction Result: A Standardized Score

After processing your inputs, PowerPredictProAI generates a "Prediction Result" score. This score is incredibly useful because it's presented on the same scale as the 'Power' column in an associated dataset. This consistency allows for easy comparison and a clear understanding of a paddle's estimated power output. The default prediction result displayed by the tool is 0.00, ready for your inputs.

Why is This Important?

By utilizing PowerPredictProAI, CoreTek Pickleball LLC is empowering players and the industry with a scientific approach to understanding paddle performance. This tool can help in making informed decisions, whether you're designing a new paddle, purchasing one, or simply curious about how different paddle specifications translate into on-court power.

No More Guesswork, Just AI!

PowerPredictProAI by CoreTek Pickleball is set to revolutionize how we think about and choose our pickleball paddles, ensuring you're always equipped with the right tool for maximum power! The logic of this tool was developed using machine learning trained on a data set of the apps variables properties. We trained on over 300 paddles and verified on human power tests!

Summary of Application Logic

The application's logic can be broken down into three simple steps:

1. The "Brain" of the Application: The Power Model

At its core, the application contains a small, hard-coded "brain" which is a direct result of the analysis we performed. This brain consists of two parts:

A Baseline Score (Intercept): This is the starting power value (8.2917) before any of a paddle's specific features are considered.

A Set of Multipliers (Coefficients): Each of the five input variables (Swingweight, Twistweight, etc.) has its own unique multiplier. These multipliers represent how much impact each variable has on the final power score. For example, the multiplier for Weight (oz) is positive and relatively large, while the multiplier for Twistweight is negative.

2. The Calculation: Applying the Formula

When a user enters the specifications for a paddle and clicks "Estimate Power," the application's logic executes a straightforward mathematical formula:

It starts with the baseline score.

For each of the five paddle features, it multiplies the value entered by the user by that feature's specific multiplier.

It adds all these results together to produce a final, single number: the Predicted Power score.

3. The Result: Displaying the Prediction

The final step is to display this calculated score to the user. The application does two things:

It shows the precise numerical score (e.g., "9.10").

It provides a simple, color-coded grade ("High Power," "Moderate Power," or "Control Oriented") to make the result easy to interpret at a glance.

In essence, the application is a fast and efficient calculator that uses the specific data-driven formula we discovered from your dataset to predict the performance! We made this tool as a simple learning experiment in the process of data research so you will find some out of context prompts in the notebook. Enjoy :)!
